Japanese Inspired Retreat
Villa Sakura is a four bedroom Japanese-inspired sanctuary with a rooftop garden located in a residential part of Petitenget. This property is the ultimate retreat for up to eight adult guests with ample space that celebrates style and takes privacy into careful consideration.
From outside the villa has a tower-like appearance that is protected from the world beyond. It is accessed via a heavy timber door that swings open to reveal a small courtyard and a pond created from a collection of river stones.
Unique Villa Experience
The downstairs level of Villa Sakura is an open space that blends seamlessly into a serene garden enclosure complete with a freeform swimming pool, bamboo and other species of tropical flora. Three large picture windows expose a neighbouring landscape of trees and distant rice terraces.
Inside there is a compact kitchen facility with fitted cupboards in dark timber and a stone backsplash. An innovative sunken table with simple floor cushions recreates the experience of traditional Japanese dining.
There are also two tastefully-appointed bedrooms located on the ground floor overlooking the pool. Each has its own vibrant colour scheme and a comfortable double bed fitted with crisp white linen. These rooms share a modern bathroom facility equipped with a stone shower recess.
Visually Appealing Design
On the second floor is an open-plan sitting cum entertainment area with a full sized bar and a wrap-around terrace. A smart office is also available for guests to use the internet and catch up with business dealings and current news from home.
The master bedroom is a luxurious space for adult relaxation. It has a simple decor highlighted by wooden floors and a giant photo on the wall depicting blossoming flowers. The en-suite bathroom is finished in natural stone and features a lavish circular tub and overhead rain shower.
The fourth bedroom lies behind an oversized circular wall panel with a sliding door. It is a unique room with a raised timber platform and a sunken bed that captures the Japanese tradition of sleeping on the floor to optimize space. A bathroom with a shower recess is also included.
Innovative Rooftop Garden
The rooftop of Villa Sakura is a delightful haven with a Japanese garden that incorporates grass and tropical greenery. A Jacuzzi is hidden behind a mature tree for privacy and there is also a bamboo lounging pavilion covered with colourful scatter cushions.
Additionally, there is a structure tucked neatly into a corner of the roof that houses a galley kitchen with a bar and BBQ as well as a small bathroom for social gatherings. This secret retreat is the perfect spot for lazy days of quiet contemplation or nights of romantic stargazing.
